Why do my nails turn blue in winters?

i get the same thing and my doctor looked at them and told me it was do with circulation, but wasnt anything to be worried about unless my hands started turning blue. i'd ask ur doctor anyway just in case but thats what mine saidWhy do my nails turn blue in winters?
the more indepth answer is:

your body draws in all the blood to your vital organs when its very cold.... this is a survival mechanism.

this allows your to survive for longer in the cold... by doing this, the blood leaves the fingers making them go blue (especially noticable in the nails).

unfortunately, in extremes eg antarctica, your fingers will get frostbite and falloff... but the body wins - you'd still be alive...

hope that helps and wasnt too boring :)Why do my nails turn blue in winters?
Nexus-Six Replicants start to get necrotic digits near the end of their service lives.
your fingers are one of the farthest things to your body... if theyre blue that means theres not much blood here... if your hands and feet are cold... so is the rest of your body ... so keep warm !!! :)
Raynauds' phenomena
Are you a smoker? Could be lack of circulation. Only when you are outside or always?
Poor blood circulation due to the cold.
