Blue taffetta dress, makeup/nail ideas to match?

Ok so for homecoming i bought a blue tafetta dress. It comes above my knees, and its bubble dress, with spaghetti straps, and pleats around the chest area.





If you don't know what tafetta is don't answer this question because it is a very distinct material and has a different shine.





I was thinking maybe a dark eye? Or black eyeliner, and a grey eyeshadow? But i didn't want it too heavy. What do you guys think?





And nails, my shoes are black, and i'm doing my hair super straight and shiny, since my hair is thick, and it always get frizzy at the bus stop. So people haven't seen it as straight as it can get.





Nails I was thinking a neutral color? Silver would look nice, but it's a tacky color?

Two detail you forgot to leave out is what color blue! and also what color your skin is. It really changes your accessory and make up choices.


Nevertheless with either dark or light blue, you are correct. If your dress is a darker blue I would really recommend black nail polish. Back in '03 Chanel came out with black satin that was all the rage. Black polish is coming back into fashion for all types of styles.


But if you want to keep it safe french tip is always an option.
