Is blue, green, yellow, purple, etc. nail polish tacky or trendy?

I just go these two nail polishes- one blue and one green- and my mom was saying that they are kinda tacky. But I have seen it in magazines like Seventeen and on friends. I don't see anything wrong with it. Should I wear it because I like it, or should I believe that ';mom knows best';???Is blue, green, yellow, purple, etc. nail polish tacky or trendy?

Wear it because you like it. Plus my nails are always funky and trendy!! It's AWESOME!!! It would really cool. especially if your school is really punk and goth like mine. Boy there is a lot of punk and goth people at my school. and emo. i'm like everything. one day i will be punk one day i will be goth another i will be tomboy. i'm a mix
Everyone has a personal style, so if you like it, go for it! Just because your mom doesn't like it doesn't mean theres anything wrong with it, it's just not her taste, and thats fine :)

yes you should wear it....to a parent of course something like bright vibrant nail polish seems a bit strange, but you aren't your mom and doing something different isn't such a bad thing... I think you should wear it, you're only young once

i think that would look cute, my mom tells me she doesnt like a lot of my clothes, but if i like it i wear it. moms arent always right you know! go with your gut! maybe instead of doing every other do one nail green on each hand then do the rest blue!

personally, i don't like it so much. dark colors are in now. so a dark purple or emerald green is very trendy.
